What’s important to us
Every single wine receives the greatest possible attention and is produced purely by hand. Our vintner and cellarmaster Josef is only satisfied when a wine expresses its natural character. This is already inherent the vineyard, and just the finishing touches are put on in the vinification process - whether in steel tanks or wooden barrels.
What distinguishes our wines
Their origin, and with it the terroir, invariably lives in our wines. Terroir means soil, climate, microclimate in the vineyard, and the yeasts from the vineyards and cellars, as well as the signature and personality of the winemaker. This, the style of the vintage, and the characteristics of each variety are clearly recognizable in our wines and make them each unique.
GOOD TO KNOW
OUR QUALITY PYRAMID
In the Wagram, with its deep loess soil, delicate as well as very mature and powerful wines can be produced, depending on the vineyard work and harvesting point. With the necessary attention and care, all of them can achieve a high level of quality. Our classification is as follows:
Wines with clear fruit, typical of their variety, uncomplicated, and vinified in steel tanks.
The soil comes to the fore, the fruit and the varietal take a back seat, with a rich minerally style.
Premium & Reserve
Here wooden barrels are used, which "gently season" the mature and usually somewhat fuller wines. These wines are both fermented and aged in them. But here, too, the soil calls the shots.
